Wainuiomata | Wedding | Jordan + Jamaica

I have come to know this couple having such a passion for what they do.  It was such an honour to have been chosen to capture their day.  A lovely wedding in Hutt Valley.  Despite the wedding being slightly overcast, which is to be expected for Wellington, but it was beautiful still.

Spring Time | Engagement | Frank + Florence

This gorgeous bride-to-be got in touch with me not long before this shoot took place.  What perfect timing too as I happened to be heading to Auckland for a wedding and it was my favourite season of the year - SPRING TIME!!! I couldn't wait to head to Cornwall Park to see the beautiful Cherry Blossom trees.

I am looking forward to photographing their big day this week!!

Levin | Wedding | Len + Amanda

When I met Amanda at one of my favourite coffee spots I wasn't sure what to expect.  I had only met her once before and remembered her bubbly personality.  I always feel nervous and excited when meeting with potential clients.  But I always go into the meeting with the mindset + heartset of whether I would truly be a right fit for them.  Well fast forward to an hour later and a booking was locked in.  I left feeling excited about Amanda + Len's wedding day and hearing how family would definitely be honoured by the couple as they were to marry at a family home in Levin that is only a 10 minute drive from one of my favourite holiday spots - Hokio Beach.  So I was happy to know the location well.

Now this wedding was pretty special as Amanda knew of my daughters (aged 8 + 10) singing here and there and requested a wee song for them.  It was so precious to have worked together on this wedding with my family.  So glad to say that we all did pretty good :)

Here are some snaps from Amanda + Len's wedding day that was filled with tears, laughter and some awesome cultural dancing.

Sinalei Resort, Samoa | Wedding | Seteuati + Ella

When Ella got in touch with me early 2014 I was excited to hear that her and fiance Seteuati decided to marry in Samoa, where they first met during their time at the Bible College some years prior.  Their love has seen them through the distance of Uati living in Samoa and Ella in New Zealand as well as the passing of Uati's father recently.

When I met these two for their engagement session at Auckland's Mission Bay, my excitement to capture their day grew even more.  They are such a loving couple with eyes only for each other.  When your relationship withstands the distance across the Pacific Ocean not just for a few days or months but a few years, you are meant to be.

Seteuati and Ella were married at the absolutely beautiful Sinalei Resort in Upolu, Samoa surrounded by a gathering of families and friends.  Their ceremony was beautiful and reception was filled with laughter.  We took their formal portraits at the resort which provided such a beautiful tropical background.  Bridesmaids looked lovely in blush pink gowns from ASOS, with their dashing groomsmen looking relaxed in their traditional samoan ie-faitaga (lavalavas).  Ella was an absolute sight on her day in her beautiful Maggie Sottero gown with Seteuati in his very dapper cream suit.

A gorgeous entrance I finally got to witness was Ella arriving by canoe to the ceremony with her brother waiting to walk her from the beach to her dad waiting on the pier.

Favourite moment on the day for me was seeing Ella in her beautiful dress.  Ella has since made the move to Samoa and set up shop as an absolutely talented Makeup Artist under the name EBB Samoa.
